BANGKOK - the scary country

just the word "Bangkok" now will make me lose my appetite already.
just by saying the word "Bangkok" will get on my nerves totally.
just by saying the word "Bangkok" i will hate all CHINA MAN even more.

and speaking of CHINA MAN,
my blood will start boiling already.

never in my working life i've felt so tired before..
i didn't feel this tired even if it is a long day at travel fair.
i won't feel this tired even if i am facing a customer in front of me and served them for 2hours.

I just feel especially, extremely, very, superbly, terribly, no-words-can-describe kinda tired today cos of one FUCKING CHINA MAN!

for the whole day today..
it's the first time i didn't pick up any phone calls,
nor did i handle any walk in customers.
all thanks to that
FUCKING CHINA MAN!

let me tell u what happened..

started work at 10am.
full of bookings to follow up..
1. transferring my own passenger to japan to another departure date (done in less than 2hr)
2. transferring Shinyee's passenger also to japan to another departure date too (done in less than 1hr)
3. checking Shinyee's passenger's hotel vouchers to Thailand
4. follow up with Tanaka's FUCKING CHINA MAN cancelling his trip to FUCKING BANGKOK!

FWAH!
i tell u.
never in my life have i raised my voice to any customers and get so agitated before.

so what about this FUCKING CHINA MAN?

first, he called to say he wish to cancel his booking.
alrite.
normal procedures, i will definitely check with my superiors how much cancellation charge and things like tat.
calculations done, called him to let him know how much he will be able to get back via travel gift vouchers.
(our company gives back travel gift vouchers in order to minimise the cancellation charges, to help the customers save money. cos if not according to our company's terms & conditions, canceling thier booking within 3 days before thier departure date will be considered as total forfeit of thier trip and won't even get back a single cent! and oh, by the way, his departure is on 15th May which is 2 days later)

second, after giving him the calculation for cancellation,
he asked, "how about if we change to a later departure date? how much will the charges be?"
according to the latest memo sent to us by the airlines, they are only able to postpone thier flight up till july.
so ok, back to the normal procedures..
calculated for him..
called him and gave him the charges again..

third, after hearing the charges,
he asked, "if tat is the case, how about u let me know also what will the charges be if i wan to cancel but i don't wanna get back travel gift vouchers and I want back cash instead?"
I told him that according to the terms & conditions it is consider a total forfeit. But due to this kinda situation, i will try my best to see if the hotel side can get anything back or not.

HAH!
so much for being kind hearted!
*spits non-stop*

four, bugged my operations colleague to help check if we're able to refund them and hotel costs.
calculated (AGAIN) and called that FUCKING CHINA MAN.
guess what happen this time?
he said, "why is it that i called the airlines (Cathay Pacific) and they told me my tickets can be postponed to October without any charges? it is different from what you told me."
i asked him who is the fella who told him that and ask him to send black and white as proof so that i can action accordingly.
he said, "this is not my jobscope. it's yours. i will give you the number then you call and ask him to give you the black and white."

FUCKING HELL!!!

five, called the airlines and spoke to the staff named ZHI WEI.
he said the exact same thing like what that FUCKING CHINA MAN said.
then i asked him if he knows that they just sent out the memo regarding the Bangkok political issues and he said yes.
I asked him, "if that is the case, both the words you said to the customer contradicts to the memo you all sent out to us."
he kept quiet for a few seconds then tell me to rest assure that they will definitely not charge, asking me to go ahead to postpone the date for the customer.
i told him to send me a black and white stating that they will not charge for postponing the trip and he didn't dare to. he said he isn't authorised to do so.
I asked for his direct number and he said he doesn't own one.
asked again for any of his superior to authorise the black and white, he told me he is NOT ABLE TO!

GOSH!!!
can u believe it?!
CATHAY PACIFIC SUPERIOR NOT ABLE TO AUTHORISE A BLACK AND WHITE EMAIL TO SAY THE TICKETS ARE ABLE TO POSTPONE WITHOUT CHARGES?!


i practically screamed at zhiwei lor.

so, since he can't do anything,
i've got no choice but to call the FUCKING CHINA MAN and told him that i can only stick to the memo they sent out as the airlines are not able to provide me with any proof.

six, THAT FUCKING CHINA MAN said,
"since you can't get the black and white, you voice record it as proof lor"
(FUCK U! U TINK I SO FREE TO RECORD HIS LAN JIAO VOICE?)
"since they already assure u over the phone y can't u just action it?"
(ITS NOT I DON'T WANT TO. BUT THE PERSON ISSUING THE TICKETS IS NOT ME!)
"really cannot meh?"
(KNN EH! IF CAN THEN I DON'T NEED TO DING DONG UP AND DOWN TO ASK SO MANY QUESTIONS HERE AND THERE LIAO RITE?)

I raised my voice a little and never give that FUCKING CHINA MAN a chance to speak.
i practically speak like a machine gun and only leave him with 3 choices.
1. cancel and take the refund by travel gift voucher.
2. postpone with admin fee of $25 per person to travel before july only.
3. leave it as it is and travel as usual.

He chose option 1 and asked me to proceed and i hang up the phone.

a few of my colleagues witness how agitate i am toking to him on the phone.
even my ears turn red and almost have fever.
ZZZZZZZZ!

seven, after he confirmed his choice,
i proceed with filling up the cancellation form stating that he will acknowledge it and understand that the refund will be given in the form of travel gift vouchers.
after filling it up, faxed it over and waiting for him to fax back with a signature.

i let out a big sigh and thought it is FINALLY over..

but NO!

eight, he called back after receiving the fax.
he said, "i've changed my mind. I want you to split the cancellation for me. there are 5 of us, 3 person will want to cancel and get back cash and the other 2 will get back travel gift vouchers."
i replied, "but i thought i told you getting back cash is 100% charge and not able to get back anything?!"
he said, "i know. just charge accordingly, i will claim from my insurance company. but i want you to state in a letter clearly what i am charged for."

THIS GUY IS SICKENING RIGHT?!!

nine, ok ok fine! so i have to re-write the god damn cancellation form all over again!
GOSH!
can you imagine it's already 5.30pm at this point of time?
faxed the form for him again and waited for him to sign and fax it back..

ten, waited and waited.. it's 5.45pm, my operations will knock off at 6pm and still no fax from him..
so, i called him again.
"Just wondering if you've received the fax cos i still didn't see you faxing back yet."
he replied, "yes, i got them. but i can only fax it back to you tomorrow cos i am waiting for my insurance agent to confirm something before i sign it."
FUCKING HELL!!
ok, nvm. i keep my cool and hang up the phone.

a few seconds later, he called back.
"you urgently need me to fax it back meh? i already told u i confirm want to cancel mah. you can't just cancel meh? i will definitely fax it to you tomorrow what.."
i just replied, "LOOK SIR. i've been waiting for your ONE PERSON's decision since morning 10am. if i can do it without our acknowledgement, why do you think i am waiting until NOW?!"

guess what he said??
he responded with an "Oh.."

WAH LAN EH!!!

*pulls hair and screams in high pitch*
ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!


so please..
dear customers..
please don't go bangkok.
bangkok is a nitemare..

More like don't ever deal with China people. Most of the time when I work also all my problem comes from China client. Don't know why.

Jerine : i wished i can man.. if only there is a BAN signage to china man from entering travel agencies. LOL!

in my case, i tink it applies to all fickle men, not just china men. Had sama sama encounter with S'poreans also.

Hi Jocelyn... sorry to read about your ordeal with that Chinaman. Some people are just so annoying because they think they're paying so you have to do the job for them. Yup, I've come across people like that.

Cool down and forget about that bloke. If it happens again next time, you'll be more prepared. :)
